Wows and Woes
The main WOW factor of this hotel is price and convenience. For travelers needing to be close to the airport, and on a budget, The Crowne Plaza is an excellent choice. They offer complimentary transport to and from the airport and have a full bar and restaurant in the lobby. The downside to the Crowne Plaza is its lack of any substantial amenities (e.g., spa, gym, pool). This hotel offers little other than a clean room and restaurant.
Insider Tips
Call the hotel to negotiate a special promotional rate before booking your stay. The Crowne Plaza frequently offers discounts up to 30 percent off the rack rate, based on occupancy. Typically, calling the front desk will provide you with a better rate than can be found online.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
During my last stay, the receptionist went out of her way to confirm when I needed transport to the airport the next day. In the morning, I received a call informing me that a shuttle was ready outside to take me to the airport.
Bottom Line
If you are looking for basic, but clean, accommodations near the airport at a reasonable rate, the Crowne Plaza cannot be beaten.
