Plaza Hotel Casino Reviews
The Plaza Hotel offers standard rooms with a bed, nightstands, dresser and television. The casino has the standard
Las Vegas games of chance, and the only bingo game offered Downtown on Fremont Street. The buffet featuring prime rib is one of the best bargains in town. The Rat Pack is Back in the showroom gives patrons a glimpse of the days of Frank, Sammy, Dean and Joey with impersonators singing some of their classics.
Wows and Woes
The Plaza offers extra athletic amenities rarely seen in such abundance Downtown, including a pool, gym and tennis courts.
The bathrooms are tiny, as you barely have enough space to step in and close the door. Dining options are limited here.
Insider Tips
Be sure to sign up for the player's club card before doing any gambling. The casino will then track your play and you could earn comps such as free meals or hotel stays.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
Just walking up to the front of the Plaza down Fremont Street is pretty memorable. Located at the end of the street, the Plaza is a towering presence that has been featured in many Hollywood productions, the entire list of which is posted by the front doors. I always found it cool to go to a place I once saw in a movie; the Plaza has been in at least a dozen.
Bottom Line
The Plaza provides decent accommodations for the money in the heart of Downtown on Fremont Street.
