If you plan to have your wedding in South Jersey, you will have many reception and ceremony sites to choose from. You can find venues to host your wedding event close to the water or within an inland area. Towns in the southern part of New Jersey that have popular wedding venues include Cape May, Cherry Hill, Voorhees and Atlantic City.

Get recommendations for vendors in South Jersey online. The Knot has an extensive database with links to vendors located in southern New Jersey. Browse through the different categories to get contact information for local florists, photographers, musicians, caterers and transportation arrangements.
Step 2
Subscribe to a wedding magazine specific to the South Jersey area. Purchase at a local magazine shop or send in for a subscription to Bride's South Jersey Magazine and New Jersey Bride for planning advice.
Step 3
Attend bridal shows to speak directly to vendors as well as to browse wedding fashions. Sites in South Jersey that regularly hold these events include Paris Caterers at the Palace, Holiday Inn Select Bridgeport and Addison Park. You can check scheduled events on New Jersey Bridal.
Step 4
Plan ahead if you want a beach wedding. You will have to check with the municipality of the beach in order to book a ceremony on a beach in South Jersey. Certain venue sites that are on the water may offer the option of a ceremony held on their private beachfront property.
Step 5
Make all of your bookings at least a year in advance. South Jersey, especially the shore towns, is a popular spot to plan a wedding event. Once you have selected your vendors, call and make your booking well in advance to ensure they are all available on your selected wedding date.
