Oregon Coast Lodging on a Budget
The spectacular Oregon coastline is a delightful Pacific destination when the skies are blue and the sun is shining. But when the wind howls and the rain pours (as it can certainly do), you'll want the comfort and warmth of a nice hotel or inn at a reasonable price. From Seaside in the north to Port Orford in the south, here a some budget accommodation options on the Oregon coast.
Seasore Inn on the Beach
Children 12 and under stay free with a parent at the ocean-side Seashore Inn, in the picturesque town of Seaside in northern Oregon. Free continental breakfast, an indoor pool and spa and a close location to Seaside shops make this hotel a nice choice if you're visiting the Oregon coast on a budget. The Sea Horse
Nearly 100 miles south of Seaside, Oregon, lies Lincoln City and The Sea Horse motel, right on the beach. Rooms start at $76 in the off-season. The Sea Horse is a great budget location for family trips to the Oregon coast---there are several suites available, as well as a cabin and two- and three-bedroom houses. You can also enjoy an indoor heated pool and an outdoor hot tub overlooking the shore.

Sylvia Beach Hotel
Rooms at the writer-themed Sylvia Beach Hotel, in the central coast town of Newport (just south of Lincoln City), start at $70 in the low season. All rooms at this budget accommodation are named after authors, such as Jane Austen, Mark Twain and Dr. Seuss. If you are an avid reader, you'll fit right in here; the hotel is cozy and private and perched on a cliff above the beach---perfect for curling up with a book while the wind blows in off the Oregon coast. If you're not, go elsewhere---there are no TVs or radios.
