Ober Gatlinburg is located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The location is far above the city and is reached by an aerial tram ride that takes approximately 10 minutes and carries visitors well above the tree tops.
Temperatures in Winter
Winter in Ober Gatlinburg lasts from November through March. Skiing on the mountain usually lasts until the middle of March. Average highs range from the high 40s to low 60s Fahrenheit.
Temperatures in Spring
Skiing season ends when the temperatures begin creeping into the higher 60s in April. May high temperatures average in the mid-70s.
Temperature in Summer
Temperatures are cooler atop Ober Gatlinburg even in summer. The high temperatures from June through August stay in the mid-80s.
Temperature in Autumn
Starting in September, the high temperatures begin falling back into the 70s. The temperature drops further in October as the start of the skiing season nears.
Precipitation
Snow falls from November through March in Ober Gatlinburg. Eight to nine inches of snow per month falls in December, January and February. Rainfall averages five inches per month all year.
