Norwalk's nickname is the Oyster City.
Norwalk is a coastline city in Fairfield County, Connecticut, whose history has mostly centered around its large harbor, on Long Island Sound. It has numerous attractions (the Maritime Aquarium, Norwalk Museum, Norwalk Country Club, Norwalk Yacht Club, Oak Hills Park Golf Course and the South Norwalk Boat Club, among others), shopping centers, parks, lakes and rivers, and
beaches. Known as the Oyster City, Norwalk has a number of good restaurants, not necessarily serving oysters and seafood alone.
Sono Seaport Seafood
This family-owned waterside restaurant in South Norwalk started as a fish market, then opened as a restaurant and pub in November 1984. It has a menu that is mostly seafood but also offers Angus beef and other dishes. All items on the menu have prices except for the steamed lobsters, king crab legs, soft shell clams and mussels, all of which are marked "market price." The bottom of the menu explains why some items are not always available (weather conditions and seasonality, for example). The atmosphere is casual, with an outside seating area and great views of Norwalk Harbor.

Valencia Luncheria
Open everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner (except for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays), this Venezuelan restaurant takes pride in the freshness of its food, whether it's for dining in or takeout. It offers 10 types of juices all day: mango, papaya, melon, carrot, pineapple, berries, orange, ginger, apple and beet. Dinner starters offer two types of bean soup, three salads and some small plates. Typical Venezuelan rice plates and other entrees follow. Desserts are homemade, and the coffee is from Venezuela.

Quattro Pazzi Restaurant
A multimillion-dollar restaurant, according to its website, this Italian eatery is located near the golf course at Oak Hills Park. Its dining facilities can sit 120 people, with an additional 80 if the Bluestone terrace is included (an ideal setting for large parties, receptions and gatherings). The menu is simple: a choice of soup, salad, small plates, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, a second plate and an entree. The dishes are predominantly seafood.
