When people think about
New York, they automatically think about New York City. There is so much more to New York state. Tourists come from all over the world not only to experience the hustle and bustle of the city, but also to relax in the mountains or at the
beach.
Manhattan
For those who are looking for arts and culture, there is Manhattan, with its plethora of museums and theaters. World-famous landmarks dot the island, from the Empire State Building to the Statue of Liberty.
Long Island
Long Island is the place for beachgoers, offering relaxation on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean or Long Island Sound. Wine aficionados will enjoy a tour through wine country on the eastern part of the island.
Cooperstown
Sports fans know that Cooperstown is the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame, but the area has more to offer. Visitors can check out museums dedicated to farmers, classic cars and art, or take a cruise on the Erie Canal.
Upstate New York
Upstate is where nature lovers go for hiking, camping, boating and skiing. The Catskills and the Adirondacks provide mountainous beauty for city dwellers who want to get away from it all.
Niagara Falls
The New York side of Niagara Falls features American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. From there, it is only a short trip over the border to the larger Canadian side of the falls.
