The Japanese and American flags
Port Chester is a village in Westchester County,
New York. There are many Latino immigrants and blue-collar businesses in Port Chester, a contrast to its more affluent neighbors. Restaurants of different ethnic cuisines abound in and near Port Chester, including Asian and Japanese eateries. Many of these Japanese restaurants offer sushis and sashimis, teriyakis and teppanyakis, yakisobas and udons. The more sophisticated have hibachi tables, where chefs perform acrobatic maneuvers with knives as they cook in front of their customers.
Edo Japanese Steak House
This hibachi restaurant, open every day for dinner, has another location in Pelham, New York. Humorous and energetic chefs put on a show of flipping and cutting food as they cook on teppanyaki tables. Offerings include soup, salad, dinner and ice cream. Hibachi dinner choices include chicken, sukiyaki, sirloin, filet mignon, scallops, salmon, lobster, shrimp and combination meals. A full-service bar and a childrens menu are available. Reservations are recommended. Edo also does catering.

Noda's Japanese Steakhouse
Noda's is open for lunch Mondays to Fridays, and for dinner every day. It has a bar and offers sushi items with, or separately from, its hibachi items. Dinner is prepared in front of customers by a chef who flips flaming shrimp, bounces an egg and cracks it in mid-air and makes a fire look like smoking volcano. Hibachi menus offer a choice of shrimp, scallops, sukiyaki (thinly-sliced) steak or combinations. Sushi menus include soup and salad, and sashimi appetizers.
