Borelli's

Located just east of the Nassau Coliseum, Borelli's Italian Restaurant has been doing its thing since 1955. This restaurant is about a 10-minute drive inland from Jones Beach State Park to East Meadow, which is a lot quicker than you could pull off a clambake on your own. Borelli's specialty is its baked clams among other dishes. The fried calamari, shrimp pizza, manicotti and cheesecake made from scratch keep customers returning again and again.

The restaurant is open until midnight five days a week and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. There's not a better place for a late-night snack in the area. If you choose to eat late, remember it can get a bit busy following the Islander's games down the street.
