Motels offer a good value to budget travelers. Typically, motels don't have much to offer other than a bed to sleep on and a bathroom. But some motels can compete with hotels and even
resorts. Travelers may be surprised by the following motels because of their unusual range of amenities and services. These motels have a special style all their own--and they're reasonably priced.
The Roxbury
The Roxbury motel is hidden in the Catskill Mountains of New York, in the historic city of Roxbury, where there is plenty to do and see. Guests can choose between a kitchenette room, studio, theme room or a suite. There's also a spa and a cocktail lounge. As of June 2009, the rates were between $100 and $340 per night per person.
