Minneapolis Airport Information
Located near the middle of Minnesota, the
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) was named 2009 Best Large Airport in North America by the Airports Council International. In 2008, the facility handled over 450,000 landings and takeoffs, and served 34 million passengers. It is the 12th busiest airport in the
United States.
Layout
The airport consists of the 2.8-million-square-foot Lindbergh Terminal and the 380,000-square-foot Humphrey Terminal. Each building has adjacent parking.
Transportation
Light Rail Transit (LRT) joins both terminal buildings with the Twin Cities. Buses, taxis, shuttles and rental cars are available.
Retail
Aside from small shops and restaurants in the concourses, Lindbergh features a mall of 50 shops that sell music, software and electronics.
Parking
The first hour of parking costs from $6 to $8 with each additional hour at $2. The maximum daily rate at Lindbergh is $18 to $20, while at the Humphrey, it's $14 to $16.
Internet
MSR contains WiFI Internet access in both terminals and Internet kiosks in Concourses C through G of Lindbergh. Both types cost, however.
