United States. It is a popular travel destination for tourists and travelers around the world. People flock year-round to Maui for its incredible weather and sandy
beaches. There are many exciting attractions to be found on Maui--there is something for everyone. Whether you enjoy the natural surroundings of the island or the exciting nightlife it has to offer, Maui will deliver and make your trip a great experience. Here are just some of the fun things that you can do in Maui.
SCUBA Diving
The waters off the coast of Maui are teeming with wildlife that is right at your fingertips. If you have a SCUBA certification, you are in luck, because there are many incredible diving spots you can visit. The Molokini marine sanctuary, for example, is one of the most popular diving spots in Hawaii. It is an underwater crater with varying depths that is home to a unique wildlife ecosystem contained in the crater. This is found off of the southwest coast of Maui, but there are other spots all across the island. Check with a few different tour operators in order to learn about when boats head out to diving spots and what spots best suit your personal interests.
Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum
This museum celebrates one of the most important agricultural products to ever be produced in Hawaii: sugar. This product has had a major impact on the history of Maui. It is located next to the largest sugar factory in Hawaii, which acts as a backdrop to the wealth of information you will find at the museum. These include artifacts and photographs that explain and reflect the history of the sugar business and about life on the plantations of the past and present. Tours run throughout the day and are a great way to get detailed information in an easy-to-absorb manner.
Seven Sacred Pools
The seven sacred pools is an area in the Haleakala National Park of Maui that has some of the most beautiful waterways and waterfalls in all of Hawaii. Multiple waterfalls of varying heights and sizes connect with streams and tranquil pools that run into the ocean. This is a must-see for any nature enthusiast and for anyone interested in hiking. Many of the waterfalls can only be reached by foot, and the hiking can in the seven sacred pools area can occupy you for hours. One of the most famous waterfalls in Maui, the Waimoku Falls can be reached by hiking from the seven sacred pools to the fall, which eventually connects to them.
