Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is a themed restaurant located at Citywalk in the Universal Orlando resort. Besides relatively plain but hearty fare like cheeseburgers, ribs and pastas, it also features memorabilia like Buffet's sea plane and a play area where the kids can run off some energy before the meal. It's within easy walking distance of the Universal and Islands of Adventure theme parks. You can call (407) 224-2155 for a reservation.

The bright colors, music and tropical motif will instantly cheer you up, and you can get margaritas at three bars.
The prices at Margaritaville are a bit high (around $10 for a Cheeseburger in Paradise with fries), but they do fall in line with other themed restaurants in Orlando.

Insider Tips

AAA members and Universal annual passholders get a discount at Margaritaville. If you come after 6 p.m., you'll only have to pay $3 for parking rather than the usual $12 fee.

Most Memorable Moment

I had read about Red Stripe beer in a John Grisham book, but I was quite surprised to find it on the menu at Margaritaville. I really felt like I was in the Bahamas when I ordered a bottle and enjoyed it in the tropical atmosphere.

Bottom Line

Margaritaville is convenient if you are spending the day at Universal. It doesn't stand out much from the other Citywalk themed restaurants, it is a must-do for Jimmy Buffet fans.
