Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks play 82 NHL regular season games at the 18,630-seat General Motors Place. Canucks fans are treated to games against Western Conference foes like the Colorado Avalanche, the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers from fall through late spring. Visitors to Canucks games enjoy the antics of team mascot Fin and the Ice Team between periods. General Motors Place features concessions stands as well as a sizable pro shop for souvenir seekers.

The Vancouver Art Gallery offers interactive art exercises like The Making Place to teach kids about creativity. Adults enjoy gallery tours as well as special exhibition tours led by knowledgeable docents free with admission. The Out for Lunch Music Series presents live music during the lunch hour for busy professionals and tourists alike. Visitors heading to the Vancouver Art Gallery on Fridays may catch live music, multimedia art exhibits, lectures and impromptu studio sessions as part of the FUSE program.

Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant

The Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant is a fine dining establishment at the top floor of the Harbour Centre Tower. The restaurant completes a revolution every hour and provides a panoramic view of Vancouver from 553 feet above street level. The 300-seat restaurant offers a Sunday brunch of pastries, fruits, pasta salad and croissants to fuel visitors before a full day of sightseeing. The Top of Vancouver offers baked French brie, New York steak and Atlantic lobster on its dinner menu.

Playwrights Theatre Centre

Vancouver playwrights and producers refine their scripts at the Playwrights Theatre Centre. The venue hosted 600 readings and productions from Canadian artists in its first three decades. Playwrights Theatre Centre stages productions that win provincial and national awards like the Governor General's Award. Visitors can head to Playwrights at the beginning of June to enjoy monologues, one-man shows and full productions at the New Play Festival. The theater also hosts readings and workshop productions of new works throughout the year for the public.
