Located in Santa Barbara County, California, Solvang is a Danish themed tourist community. Named as one of the ten most beautiful small towns in the Western
United States, by Sunset Magazine, the community began with the settlement of Danish Americans in 1911. The settlers purchased some 9,000 acres that had been Rancho San Carlos de Jonata. To preserve their culture, they built a Danish church and folk school. Today Solvang is known for its gift shops, bakeries, restaurant and traditional Danish architecture.
Hadsten House Inn and Spa
The Hadsten House Inn and Spa is located at 1450 Mission Drive, Solvang. It features European style design with classic French furnishings and decorative fireplaces. There is a heated indoor swimming pool and outdoor whirlpool. Rooms are non-smoking and come in king or double queen. There is a day spa, offering aesthetic skin treatments and massage.

Hotel Corque
Hotel Corque is the largest hotel in Solvang and was originally the Royal Scandinavian Inn. The hotel has regular suites, two-room suites, junior suites and an 11,000-square-foot presidential suite. The facility offers a health and fitness center, banquet rooms, outdoor receptions, swimming pool and whirlpool. Hotel Corque is located at 400 Alisal Road, Solvang, California.

Svendsgaard's Danish Lodge
Located in the heart of Solvang, Svendsgaard's Danish Lodge is at 1711 Mission Drive. The facility has 48 units, with 18 mini-suites with fireplaces. All rooms have refrigerators and cable television. A free continental breakfast is served each morning. No pets allowed.

Solvang Gardens Lodge
The Solvang Gardens Lodge is located on the edge of Solvang, at 293 Alisal Road. The Solvang Gardens was built in 1950 and was the first motel in the Danish community. It was changed to its current name in 1999. King and queen sized beds, kitchenettes and fireplaces are available. A spa cottage offers massages, aroma and hot stone therapy to its guests.

Petersen Village Inn
The Petersen Village Inn specializes in small business groups and corporate retreats. It can accommodate up to 50 guests in its meeting facility. Located at 1576 Mission Drive Solvang, California, it provides a European buffet breakfast. The facility has a café, garden and sitting area, with free coffee and tea delivered to the rooms.
