Chicago is a city thriving with culture and variety that is only enhanced by its many superb restaurants. Chicago's restaurant scene is diverse, offering every kind of food you can think of. Next time you are in the area, take advantage of these three delicious restaurants.
Carnivale
With fresh and spicy Latin flavors and style, Canivale is worth checking out. Eclectic, festive decor sets a perfect stage for dining and the music is as exciting to the palate as the rich dishes. This authentic Nuevo Latino restaurant is located downtown and accepts reservations online. To book a reservation or look at the menu, visit http://www.carnivalechicago.com/ or call (312) 850-5005 for more information.
Fox & Obel
This welcoming cafe on East Illinois Street is open from 6 a.m. until midnight every day of the year except Christmas. At Fox & Obel, you will find a lively atmosphere and great food. The menu, available online, includes sandwiches, soups, salads and pizza. In the morning, the restaurant serves pancakes, eggs, sausage and other breakfast items. Several vegan dishes are also available. For more information, go to http://www.fox-obel.com/cafe, or call (312) 379-0112.
Coalfire Pizza
This restaurant is the only one of its kind in the Chicago area and is pretty new on the scene. The pizzas are cooked in a coal oven at temperatures often over 800 degrees F. This allows them to cook quickly so the bubbly crust is still pliable and chewy on the inside and hard and delicious on the outside. At Coalfire Pizza you can order the white or pesto varieties or invent one of your own with toppings of vegetables, meat and specialty cheeses. To view the menu or find out more, visit http://www.coalfirechicago.com, or call (312) 226-2625.
