Ever since its initial growth in the 1950s,
Las Vegas has grown into one of the largest
resort cities in the
United States. This city is also known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World" thanks to the high concentration of entertainment venues and casinos in Vegas. The areas in Las Vegas where the most entertainment activities occur are the Las Vegas Strip and the Fremont Street Experience.
The Venetian Las Vegas
The Venetian is and Italian-themed hotel is situated on the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip and has been given a five-diamond award rating by AAA. The hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance to the shopping centers, such as Somerset and Las Vegas Plaza. The Venetian features Azure, the hotel's private club that features a swimming pool and massage therapies. Other amenities include facilities for weddings, gaming opportunities at the hotel's casino and an on-site steakhouse, Cut, which features menu items created by renowned chef, Wolfgang Puck. The guest suites at The Venetian feature king-size or queen-size beds and an LCD television in the bathroom. Some of the suites include a dining room area and private terrace. Golfing enthusiasts who stay at the Venetian should check out the 18-hole course at the Wynn Golf Club, less than a mile from the hotel.

Palms Palace Hotel & Spa
Situated on Flamingo Road, Palms Palace is a luxury hotel that is less than 2 miles west of the casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, live music entertainment at the Pearl Music Theater and on-site fine dining restaurants that includes Simon and Nine. The hotel also has houses the Drift Spa, which offers facial treatments and massage therapies. Guest suites at Palms Palace include a living room area, kitchen and flat-screen television. Best Western McCarran Inn, less than five minutes from the Strip, rests next to McCarran International Airport. The hotel is also less than five minutes' from the 18-hole golf course of the Las Vegas National Course.
