Kids' Activities in New York
New York is a state rife with activities for children, and many of them are condensed into the boroughs of New York City. Museums, zoos and aquariums are amongst the most visited and most loved spots for children in the big city. Hours of fun and entertainment can be had for just a small admissions fee at most of the locations.
The New York Hall of Science
The Hall of Science is an interactive museum that takes children through several different chambers and branches of science. Kids can climb into a life-size rocket ship, explore the inner workings of networks and learn about microbes. The hall also features a preschool area for children ages 2 to 4.

New York Aquarium
The New York Aquarium, located in Brooklyn, is the only aquarium in lower New York. It offers youngsters a unique inside view of aquatic eco-systems. The touch tank, which allows kids to see and feel small sea animals, is always a big hit with the younger crowd. Scheduled feedings of sharks, penguins and sea otters take place throughout the day. Kids under 3 are admitted free.

Tisch Children's Zoo
The Tisch Children's Zoo is attached to the Central Park Zoo, and offers a ton of interactive fun for children of all ages. The petting zoo and climbing area is a big hit with children ages 4 and up. The zoo is open year-round.
