This zoo was voted in the top five zoos for kids in the country by "Child" magazine. The Phoenix Zoo houses monkeys, tigers, an African Safari ride, plus activities and programs for families and children of all ages. Visit Limestone Caves
The impressive stalactite and stalagmites that decorate the insides of the Kartchner Caverns have been growing for tens of thousands of years. Mineral-rich water drips down from the earth above, leaving deposits that form the most interesting shapes. Cave staff warn that small children may find the environment frightening, parents are urged to be aware of their children's needs, and remove them from the cave if necessary.
