Kaanapali
beach is thought by many to be one of the finest
beaches in all of Maui, in Hawaii. This Hawaiian beach
resort destination is ideal for engaging in recreational activities including snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, golfing and more. Here are some ways to spend time in the sun, sand, surf and beyond.
Golfing
Kaanapali Beach Resort has world-class golfing. The golf resort consists of 36 holes and has an atmosphere rich in culture, as it was constructed over a site roamed by Hawaiian royalty from ancient times. Spanning 1,200 acres, this golfing site offers breathtaking panoramic sites of the West Maui Mountains as well as the Pacific Ocean. Both the Kaanapali Kai Course and the Royal Kaanapali Course are excellent for golfing.
Parasailing
Going parasailing with UFO Parasail Maui in Kaanapali Beach is a lovely way to see Maui--from above. There are three different boats that depart from Kaanapali Beach. Parasailing with a vibrant parachute while sailing along with the wind currents (right above a motorboat to which the parachute is securely attached) is an invigorating and exhilarating way to see the sights of Maui. If you want a bird's viewpoint of Maui, Molokai and Lanai, this is a great activity. You can choose to either fly alone or fly with a partner.
Shopping
The Fairway Shops at Kaanapali have a convenient location by Highway 30 (the Honoapiilani Highway). This shopping area is full of specialty shops, restaurants and other services. From coffee shops like Hawaiian Village and restaurants like China Bowl and CJ's Deli to shops like the Aloha Toy Store, the Fairway Shops is a great place to relax and unwind while shopping at Kaanapali Beach.
Spa
Going to a spa is a wonderful way to experience some tranquil rest and relaxation (and pampering) at Kaanapali Beach Resort. Two of the area's finest spas include the Westin Maui Resort and Spa and the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. These are excellent spas for promoting well-being and undergoing several skin treatment and massages.
Snorkeling
Kaanapali Beach is great for snorkeling, and offers a couple of different snorkeling tours. Teralani Snorkel Tours is terrific and offers excursions that last four and five hours long. Snorkel gear comes with the price of the tour, and you will experience snorkeling in areas like Lanai, Oluwalu and Honolua Bay. The five-hour tour is the longest snorkeling trip offered out of Kaanapali Beach.
