Seattle's Waterfront
Whether you're strolling Pike Place Market or taking in a view of the seaside city from the Space Needle, a visit to
Seattle will undoubtedly inspire you to indulge in the bounty of the Pacific Ocean. Look no further than one of the city's Italian restaurants, which all feature a variety of fish and seafood dishes prepared with distinctly Italian flavors.
Amore
Amore is a charming, cozy neighborhood cafe with a menu of Italian comfort foods to match. You'll find two of their best dishes on the pasta menu. The Wild Mushroom Ravioli is a blend of porcini, shitake and black trumpet mushrooms in ravioli pillows, topped with a veal demi port wine sauce and gorgonzola cheese. Or to experience the taste of the Northwest, try the Salmon & Rock Shrimp Penne, a delightful pesto dish featuring wild Alaskan king salmon and rock shrimp sauteed with roasted garlic, capers, artichokes and Roma tomatoes.

Bistro Baffi
A local favorite, Bistro Baffi was crowned as the top Italian restaurant in Seattle's "Best of Citysearch 2009." Bistro Baffi thrives on date-night diners and small groups seeking polished Italian cuisine. The restaurant is not group-friendly and imposes additional charges if on groups of six or more, or for split bills. The menu is small, but contains enough variety to bring you back. The Cozze--Possittano, Chianti sauteed mussels, is a lovely departure from the common white wine sauteed mussels. Another favorite is the Torta Di Aragosta, lobster cakes with spicy roasted red bell pepper puree, sauteed pears and Gorgonzola cheese. Tired of Tiramisu? End the night with the indulgent Chocolate Walnut Cake.

The Pink Door
The Pink Door is an intimate and eclectic Italian restaurant near Pike Place Market. Perhaps more famous than the food is the nightly entertainment from a variety of sources--trapeze artists, jazz ensembles, magicians and even the occasional tap-dancing saxophonist. While you're taking in the scenery, nibble on the Bagna Cauda, a dish of warm olive oil flavored with anchovies and garlic served with fresh seasonal vegetables. For the main course, you can't go wrong with Cioppino Pink Door or Linguine alle Vongole, which features fresh baby clams, pancetta and pepperoncini in a white wine garlic sauce.
