Founded in 1818, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is 53 miles northeast of
Baltimore, Maryland, and 62 miles west of
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The area is home to a number of Amish communities that offer buggy rides and tours of the area. Other attractions include the Biblical Tabernacle Reproduction Theater, DeMuth Museum and the Hands-on House Children's Museum. Lombardo's Italian-American Restaurant
Lombardo's Italian-American Restaurant is a family-owned and operated establishment that has served the Lancaster area since 1946. Its location is less than one mile from Franklin and Marshall College and the school's North Museum of Natural History & Science. The menu begins with 10 appetizer selections like the fried mozzarella, the prosciutto-stuffed cherry peppers and the eggplant fries. The specials of the house are the cheese cannelloni and the meat manicotti featuring house-made pasta crepes. Lombardo's is open daily for lunch and dinner, with the exception of Sundays when the restaurant is closed. Casual dress is appropriate, and a children's menu is available for young diners.

Fiorentino's Italian Restaurant
Fiorentino's Italian Restaurant opened in 1998 and serves recipes based upon the Fiorentino's family favorites. The menu's appetizer selections include the antipasto platter, which consists of soppressata, prosciutto, salami, capicola, pecorino Romano and fresh mozzarella cheeses, Kalamata olives and roasted garlic cloves. A specialty of the house is the salmon piccata served with shallots, capers and tomatoes in a white wine and lemon butter over rigatoni. Another favorite is the baked lasagna made with hot sausage and meatballs. The wine list features vintages from throughout the world and is arranged with helpful suggestions for pairings with the meal's most popular dishes, making it easy for anyone to order to perfect bottle. Fiorentino's is open daily for lunch and dinner. The restaurant has an upscale atmosphere, but casual attire is appropriate for dining.

Rosa Rosa Ristorante Italiano
Rosa Rosa is owned by the DiSomma family and serves traditional cuisine from the Naples region of Italy. Bruschetta is the appetizer specialty at the restaurant and is available with tomatoes, eggplant, black olives or crab meat. A featured pasta, the trofie Rosa Rosa, is a tightly wound, house-made corkscrew pasta covered in a Gorgonzola-cream sauce and sauteed pears. Meat lovers may opt for the filetto Italiano, an 8-oz. steak served in a choice of port wine sauce, peppercorn cream, puttanesca sauce or lemon and butter, while those who prefer seafood may select the aragosta del pirata, a lobster tail served with crab meat over a creamy risotto. Rosa Rosa is open daily for dinner, and reservations are requested. The dress code is business casual. Live jazz music is featured on most weekends.
