Whether you plan on exploring
Chicago--one of America's most famous cities and former home to President Obama--or navigating the idyllic back roads of rural Illinois, the question is going to come up sooner or later: What to eat? For fans of Italian food, the answer is pretty straightforward. The state of Illinois is rife with Italian eateries offering every kind of pasta, pizza and traditional Italian specialty imaginable.
Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano
Start off with an appetizer, like fried calamari or crispy shrimp Almafi, before moving on to one of Biaggi's specialties, such as eggplant parmesan, seared sea bass or pork osso buco. In addition, Biaggi's also offers a glutton-free menu. The restaurant's casual, laid-back atmosphere is ideal for family dinners. Reservations aren't necessary, though you can always reserve via their website. The Bloomington branch of this national chain, one of five in the state of Illinois, is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
