Geneva is a city west of
Chicago near the scenic Fox River. It is in fact considered a suburb of Chicago. It is known for its many festivals and events, for shopping in areas such as the Kane County Flea Market, for its historic sites, and for leisure activities such as golfing in some of Chicago's finest courses, or you can walk along the beautiful Fabian Forest Preserve. Geneva has a number of good Italian restaurants.
Villa Verone
This restaurant has three Illinois locations: Sycamore, Elgin and Geneva. Now 15 years in the business, Villa Verone's Geneva location has a a main dining room, an Upper Club where music bands perform starting at 6 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, and a Party Room which is available for weddings, birthdays and meetings. The restaurant has a simple lunch menu with soup and salad. The dinner menu has antipasti, salad, pastas and entrees.

Gratto Italian Tapas Bar
A second location opened in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, in February of 2010. The Geneva location has daily drink specials, a carryout menu, and a promo where kids eat for free Sundays to Wednesdays. Its dinner menu consists of tapas appetizers, tapas salads, risotto con scampi, carpaccio, tapas sides, tapas 10-inch pizzas, children's menu, pastas, entrees, and steaks, chops, and lamb. Except for the last and a few other items, the lunch menu is practically the same. It has an extensive list of wines, does catering and has space for parties and meetings.

Sanfratello's Pizza
Open since 2007 in downtown Geneva, this restaurant has a full bar, and a main and a private dining room. It offers catering, carryout and delivery services, and is open for lunch and dinner on weekends, but only for dinner Mondays to Thursdays. It has specials for each day of the week, such as $3 off on pizzas on Mondays, and a buy one get one free pasta on Tuesdays. Sanfratello's has a long list for each of appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, lunch, dinner, pizzas, beverages, beers and wines, and desserts.
