Cabot Creamery in Cabot, Vermont
Cabot Creamery is one of the country's largest cheese-producing factories and has been operating since 1919 by dairy farmers. The company still makes cheese the "old-fashioned way," using pure cow milk and producing the cheese naturally without enzymes to speed the process. Guided tours include a video on the history of Cabot, interesting views of the factory's interior and free samples. Visitors also receive a free coloring book, manufacturer's coupons and special factory prices for in-store purchases.
