Interesting Places in Nevada
There is plenty to see and do in Nevada. The Silver State shares borders with California on the south and west, Utah on the east, Arizona on the southeast and Idaho and Oregon on the north. Although one of the least populated states, Nevada is geographically one of the largest states in the union and features a wide variety of climates, landscapes and cultures. Although it is most famously known for its casinos, Nevada is also a great place to find world class outdoor recreation, unusual historical museums and tasty treats.
Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park
Nevada is home to 24 unique state parks, but the most well-known and most popular is Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. The lake itself is 22 miles long and is available for swimming, scuba diving, boating, fishing and picnicking. But water activities are only the beginning of this park's charms. Visitors can also enjoy camping, hiking, biking and horseback riding in the park's 13,000-acre outback wilderness. During winter months the area offers and extensive system of cross-country ski trails. Entrance fees typically range from $2 to $8. Boat fees range from $10 to $15.

National Automobile Museum
Nevada has a rich and exciting history which is on display at the eight state museums and countless small, eclectic museums located throughout the state. One of the most interesting museums in the state is the National Automobile Museum in Reno. The museum features more than 200 classic automobiles, most from the personal collection of casino magnate, Bill Harrah. It includes a Packard B Runabout, a 1904 Knox Tudor Touring Car and a 1910 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Tourer. "Car Collector" magazine called it one of the top ten auto museums in the world. Admission is $10 for adults; kids under 5 get in free.
