The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Lawton, Oklahoma is convenient for business and leisure travelers. Located just off Interstate 44, the hotel offers easy access to Fort Sill, downtown Lawton, shopping and restaurants. Housing 99 rooms on four floors, the hotel also offers a business center, fitness center, outdoor pool and whirl pool. All rooms have high speed Internet access, a microwave, coffee maker and a small refrigerator. A breakfast buffet is offered until mid-morning and has many options for a hearty meal. No pets are allowed, and rates start at $120 per night.
Wows and Woes
As for wows, this hotel is clean and feels new. Most of the rooms are non-smoking, and exterior noise was never an issue. When it comes to woes, while the location is convenient, it is not the nicest area. Pay attention to your surroundings, and make sure that you lock your car doors and remove valuables from your vehicle.
Insider Tips
The fitness center is never occupied, and it is nicely furnished for a quick workout.
Several restaurants are located just a few minutes from the hotel. Cracker Barrel is less than half a mile and features hearty food at reasonable prices. You can also use the microwave to make some meals.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
Our family really enjoyed the pool, especially during the hot Oklahoma summer. Though nothing special, it was the perfect place for us to cool off and recharge at the end of the day.
Bottom Line
Though slightly more expensive than other Lawton hotels, you will be happy that you spent the extra money, especially when you save on food.
