Indian Restaurants in New York City

New York has a rich variety of Indian restaurants, located all around the city and not just in Little India. New York's Indian restaurants offer Northern Indian cuisine, Kashmiri cuisine and Southern Indian cuisine. You can choose fine dining or casual, inexpensive Indian cafes, and you'll usually be able to find vegetarian options.
Amma

Visit Amma for fine Indian dining in Midtown East. For a chance to sample a variety of flavors, you can order the samosa tasting plate complete with a variety of chutneys and sauces, or the five or seven-course tasting menu. A vegetarian tasting menu is also available. Amma has its own sommelier, so diners can enjoy an optional wine pairing with any tasting menu. Amma's a la carte menu includes a variety of appetizers, breads, seafood, chicken, lamb and vegetarian dishes. Try the Indo-Chinese Manchurian cauliflower vegetarian dish or the tandoori grilled halibut marinated in mint cilantro and coconut chutney.
