There are many quality Indian restaurants in Mesa, Arizona and in the surrounding towns for travelers to try. Mesa, Arizona is home to the Mesa Arts Center, the largest art center in the state. It has theater, art exhibits, concerts and classes. There are two municipal golf courses for golfers to enjoy: the Dobson Ranch Golf Course and Riverview Golf Course. Mesa has several public swimming pools available to adults and children for swimming. Travelers can enjoy baseball games and other sporting events at Hohokam Stadium.
The Guru Palace
The Guru Palace features fine cuisine from North India. The all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, a popular meal with customers, is featured every day. The menu has beverages like mango lassi and Indian coffee, soups and salads. There are several appetizers served with mint chutney, cooked onions and vinegar and lemon on the side. There are special entrees cooked in the charcoal clay ovens called the tandoor. Many of these entrees are chicken, lamb, shrimp, and fish seasoned with ginger, garlic, yogurt and herbs. There are many seafood, chicken, lamb and vegetable dishes served a la carte. There are freshly baked tandoori breads and Indian desserts. Complete dinners are served between 5 to 10 p.m. and they include appetizers, main entrees and side dishes. A full-service bar and excellent customer reviews make this an excellent stop.

The Copper Kettle
The Copper Kettle serves excellent Indian dishes for lunch and dinner. The tandoori dishes feature chicken, beef and fish cooked in a variety of spices like cream and jalapeño, ginger, garlic and cilantro green chili. Enjoy tandoori chicken, fish and beef entrees. There are lamb, fish and beef kebobs marinated in spices served on skewers. Balti Indian entrees are served with chicken, beef, lamb or fish cooked in ginger, garlic and lemon sauce. They are called ginger balti on the menu. Baltic spices are garlic, onion, tomatoes, cilantro and coriander. Vegetarians can enjoy different Indian dishes prepared to suit all tastes and include lentils or rice in Marsala sauce. Located in a strip mall, the restaurant has a casual atmosphere and reasonable prices for all tastes.

The Indian Grill
India's Grill specializes in grilled Indian cuisine. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. Lunch specials from Monday through Friday feature vegetarian entrees, chicken curry, lamb curry, tandoori chicken and others that comes with vegetables, rice and salad. The menu has appetizers, soups and salads. The vegetarian entrée selection is large served a la carte or as a complete dinner with sauce and cheese that is homemade. Tandoori entrees include chicken, lamb, fish and shrimp, served in half size dinner portions, complete dinners, and a la carte. Grilled chicken, lamb, shrimp, fish and tofu are served with different curry sauces. There is coconut curry, buhuna sauce, which is a curry with tomatoes, garlic, ginger and mint; and vindaloo, a sauce of tomatoes, potatoes and lemon juices. The grilled entrees are served a la carte or as complete dinners. All dinners include two vegetables, rice and salad. Beer and wine is served. The restaurant has a causal, sit -own dining room for adults and children.
