St. Louis International Airport had more than 15.3 million passengers cross through its gates in 2008. The airport, which serves the "Gateway to the West," is a hub for American Airlines and Great Lakes Airlines. It is one of the largest cities in Southwest Airlines' network.
Located 10 miles Northwest of the city center, the vicinity is rich with hotel properties. Three two-star budget options are located within 1.5 miles of the terminal.
