Known for its laid back atmosphere, Key West, the southernmost point in the nation, is home to more than its share of interesting history. Ernest Hemingway made his home in Key West for several years, Duval Street is a well-known music and bar scene and the sunsets are spectacular. Saltwater fishing and scuba diving are spectacular, and dining options abound. For those who love the water and enjoy a healthy nightlife, Key West is a great destination.
Most downtown accommodations are small mom-and-pop shops, where you'll get plenty of personal attention. There are several two-star lodging properties that offer great value and location.
