Whether you are a resident or visiting, a trip to the John Hancock Building in
Chicago's downtown area is a must. The elevator ride up to the 96th floor that gets you up to the observatory whisks by in less than 45 seconds and costs $15. It affords one the opportunity to see the Chicagoland area from 360 degrees and is quite breathtaking. You can take listening tours as you look out on the horizon. There are a number of fine three-star hotels within close proximity to the Hancock Observatory.
Four Points by Sheraton
