2 Star Hotels Near Fort Rosecrans Cemetery
Fort Rosecrans Cemetery is a military cemetery located high above
San Diego Bay on top of Point Loma, California. This cemetery is the final burial place of many medal of honor recipients, dating back to the 1870's. It also serves the military in the San Diego community. Nearby to the Fort are several 2 star hotels for family members from out of town.
Vagabond Inn Point Loma
Four miles from the Rosecrans Cemetery is the Vagabond Inn Point Loma. This motel is located right at the entrance to Shelter Island, and it's steps from the famous Point Loma Seafood Market and Sport Fishing/HM Landing. While being so close to the Fort, it is also just minutes from downtown San Diego and Lindbergh Field. Also four miles from Fort Rosecrans, the Ramada Inn San Diego Airport offers a great number of guest amenities. Their complimentary continental breakfast goes compliments the daily free newspaper which all guests receive. This hotel boasts free parking, free local calls, a bar on property and free high-speed Internet. This hotel will offer a free shuttle to the cruise ship terminal and discount zoo tickets. Comfort Inn at the Harbor
A smaller, 43-room hotel is located just a bit farther away. At four and a half miles from the Fort Rosecrans cemetery sits the Comfort Inn at the Harbor. This hotel is part of the Choice Hotels Brand and offers several amenities to their guests. Every morning, a free continental breakfast is offered. The leftovers from the breakfast can be placed in a refrigerator, one of which is en every room. They do offer free wired and wireless high speed Internet. This hotel also provides in room safes for valuables and is totally non-smoking.

Ocean Beach Hotel
This hotel is located in Ocean beach, about five miles from the cemetery. The Ocean Beach Hotel is a historic hotel and was remodeled in 2003. This hotel, which is situated on the beach, offers free wireless Internet, free parking, coffee for guests in the lobby, and a guest laundry for long term travelers. Its location on Newport Avenue puts it very close to numerous restaurants, lounges and shops. This hotel does allow pets in their Pet Friendly Patio Rooms.
