Napa Valley is located 50 miles north of
San Francisco and is home to California's wine country. The wineries in Napa produce some of the best wine in the world. The area's temperate climate is great for growing grapes and attracting tourists. There are several hotels and
resorts in Napa which are in close proximity to wine tasting, shopping and dining.
Silverado Resort in Napa Valley
The Silverado resort is located in the heart of Napa Valley. This resort, a California landmark from the 1870s, provides guests with a myriad of activities and amenities at occupy guests. The resort has several types of rooms and suites. All rooms have king beds, robes, coffee maker, wireless Internet and mini bar. Upgrading to a suite will get a fireplace, full kitchen or kitchenette, sitting or dining area and a patio or balcony.
The hotel offers several dining options. The Royal Oak features steak, seafood and an extensive wine list in the main house. The Grill at Silverado offers a more casual option and serves entrees and bar appetizers all with an Asian flair. Napa Valley Lodge
The Napa Valley Lodge has 55 rooms with views of Napa Valley. Included in the rooms are mini bars, coffee maker, two robes, renovated bathrooms and complimentary high speed Internet. The hotel offers its guests a complimentary champagne breakfast, wine hour each Friday evening featuring Napa wines, a fitness center, heated swimming pool and complimentary tea and cookies. The spa at the hotel offers fifteen different relaxing treatments. While there is no restaurant in the hotel, there are several nearby and the concierge can help with recommendations.

Napa River Inn at the Historic Napa Mill
Set inside the 120-year Napa Mill, the Napa River Inn is a trip back to the early part of Napa's History. The Mill is a registered historic building and is a dining and entertainment complex located in the heart of Napa on the banks of the Napa River.
The rooms invoke the feel of the original mill. They are equipped with complimentary wireless Internet access, in room coffee, robes, complimentary newspaper, refrigerator with complimentary water, CD clock radios with mp3 players and nightly turn down service. Pets are also welcome for a fee. Upgrading to one of their executive rooms or suites will add a fireplace and river view.
