Vacationing at Disneyland can be more efficient and relaxed as well as less expensive if you are able to take advantage of one of the many family suite hotels in the area. Family suites are generally made of more than one bedroom and/or bathroom and have features such as a pull-out bed or kitchenette. Family suites are a particularly good deal for those who have young children who need a quiet extra room for napping and nighttime or for families who have too many members for a single room but don't want the expense of paying full price for two rooms. Family suites with kitchenettes near the park will allow vacationers to quickly return to the hotel for meals and then go back to the park without having to spend money on pricey park food.

It is located directly across from the main gate and a walk into the park takes five minutes or less. Rooms are available in one, two or three bedrooms, with some equipped with a spa tub for a small extra charge. All of the rooms include a pull-out couch bed in addition to the regular number of beds. The Desert Inn and Suites does not have kitchenette facilities but every room has a refrigerator and microwave for basic food preparation. This hotel is also particularly kid friendly with an indoor pool and a fireworks viewing deck on the roof. A continental breakfast is served for free every morning.

Tropicana Inn and Suites
The Tropicana Inn and Suites is also located across from Disneyland's main gate and in addition to single rooms, has two family suite options. You can choose between a single or two-room kitchen suite. Both types come with multiple bed options (i.e. one king, two queens, etc.) and a kitchen that is fully stocked with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink, dishes and utensils. The Tropicana Inn and Suites also has the basic hotel amenities such as ironing board and coffee maker as well as an outdoor swimming pool and a hospitality room that serves continental breakfast foods for a small charge.

Best Western Raffles Inn and Suites
The Best Western Raffles Inn and Suites caters to families with their specially designed two-bedroom suites, deluxe family suites and kid suites. A two bedroom suite can sleep up to six people and includes two rooms, each with a queen bed. In addition, there is a pull-out bed in the couch. The family suite can sleep up to eight people with a second bedroom, a couch bed and a set of bunk beds. There are two bathrooms in every deluxe family suite. Located four blocks from Disneyland's main gate is the Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate (a Marriott hotel). The Residence Inn offers suites with fully equipped kitchens as well as a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning. If you wish, you can use the facilities in the barbecue and picnic area as well. Options include a studio suite with a kitchen, a two bedroom suite with a kitchen or a kids suite with bunk beds and kitchen facilities. The Carousel Inn and Suites is located directly across from Disneyland Resort and features several suite options for the vacationing family. The kids suite will accommodate a family of five and offers a second bedroom decorated with Disney decor and has bunk beds and a separate television on which you can rent movies or video games. In the main room, you have your choice of one king or two queen beds. The Carousel Inn and Suites also offers a connecting room option.
