Allow extra time when you are leaving. The elevators are slow because the building is so old.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

When walking into the Burnham Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised at the 19th century vintage decor that welcomed me into the lobby of the boutique hotel. It made me feel like I stepped back in time; I so enjoyed sipping wine while sitting by the fireplace in the vintage hotel lobby.

Bottom Line

The Burnham hotel is ideal for people who want to see Chicago's attractions and stay in one of Chicago's first skyscrapers.
