The Planet Hollywood Hotel
Planet Hollywood
resort and Casino is located at 3667
Las Vegas Boulevard South, right in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. Planet Hollywood is a fun-filled stay for adults, and offers some cushy benefits not offered in other mid-level hotels in this area. Although it's not the Bellagio, Planet Hollywood is a clean, comfortable stay in America's city of sin.
Wows and Woes
The hotel comes with some great free perks, including a VIP coupon booklet filled with local discounts and two-for-one offers, mostly for events, food and games within the Planet Hollywood casino. The location is right in the center of the Las Vegas strip and most casinos are walkable.
Wireless Internet is available in each room, although the services are not free. There is a buffet breakfast downstairs, which is also pricey.
Insider Tips
Each hotel room at the Planet Hollywood Resort is themed after a different Hollywood celebrity or movie, like Titanic, Backdraft, Luke Perry or Matt Damon. If you would like a specific room, request it in advance, because otherwise you could end up staying in the David Spade room. The rooms are large and feature a mammoth-sized shower and bathtub that could fit several people at once.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
At the casino, I was able to get a $25 match coupon in my VIP booklet on a roulette-style game that is unique to Planet Hollywood. The dealers are, for the most part, young, beautiful women dressed in revealing outfits, and are surrounded by PG-13 rated pole dancers. The game is an overly simplified version of roulette, but I won $50 thanks to the match coupon found in the VIP booklet that was in my room.
Bottom Line
Staying at Planet Hollywood is a celebrity-driven hotel experience that is great for adults, but may not be appropriate for children.
