As the third largest city in
New York as of 2004, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, Rochester is the home of Midtown plaza, which is the country's first downtown shopping mall; Little Theatre, the nation's oldest art-house movie theater; and High Falls. High Falls in a district located in downtown Rochester featuring a famous 96-foot tall waterfall on the Genesse River. There are many restaurants in the area.

DiBella's guarantees fresh rolls by baking consistently throughout the day. Subs are made cold or hot and sized small, medium or large. Some types include the Old Fashioned Assorted with ham, salami and turkey; Italian Assorted with capricola and salami; and the Godfather with salami, capricola and spicy ham. Other featured items include the DiBella's Cheesesteak and the Red Osier Hot Roast Beef Sub. Chocolate chip cookies, sides and combos are also available.

High Falls Café
With live music, a full bar and wireless Internet access, the High Falls Cafe is open for brunch, lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. The restaurant offers a variety of food from vegetarian dishes to burgers and from pasta to quesadillas. Other menu items include a variety of salads, appetizers, seafood and specialties such as country-fried steak, rib-eye steak and veal Parmesan. Besides music entertainment, High Falls Cafe has an array of special events for almost every day of the week. Every first and third Tuesday of the month celebrates "Big Joe Fitz's Blues Party," every Wednesday is pasta night, every Thursday is acoustic night with Kurt Henry and jazz music is played every other Sunday.

2 Vine was voted as the best contemporary restaurant according to Democrat Chronicle's "Rochester Choice Award's." 2 Vine uses only organic ingredients from local farms, freshly delivered fish and certified Angus beef for its dishes. Open for lunch and dinner, some choices on the menu include the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, the monkfish osso bucco or pan roasted duck breast for dinner, creme brulee for dessert, and a glass of wine from an extensive list. 2 Vine has a full bar, smoke-free environment and several vegetarian dishes.
