Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napolitana
Named the best pizza in the world by United Kingdom. newspaper The Guardian, Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napolitana has been serving up thin-crust, brick-oven pies since 1925. Pizza, the only menu option, is available in three combinations: tomato, tomato and cheese, and cheese only. The place is famous for its clams, although other toppings include sausage, anchovies, spinach, chicken, shrimp and more. Cards are redeemable at Pepe's original location in New Haven and at branch locations in Fairfield and Manchester, at the Monhegan Sun Casino and in Yonkers, New York.

Prime 16
In a city that claims to be the birthplace of the hamburger, the beef joint Prime 16 manages to hold its own. The imaginative selection of burgers, including bee, lamb, mahi-mahi and "build your own," got the restaurant named best newcomer to the local dining scene by The New Haven Advocate. All of Prime 16's beef is sustainably raised and grass-fed. A large beer selection is available, as are salad options. Gift cards can be purchased on-site or sent through the mail.

Pacifico
Specializing in Latin-influenced fare such as tapas, paella and ceviche, Pacifico offers an upscale but informal atmosphere for diners of all ages. Voted the maker of the best Mojito in the state by Connecticut Magazine, the restaurant also features an extensive raw-bar menu and a late-night selection of tapas and bocadillos on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. The restaurant offers cooking classes and wine tastings with head chef Rafael Palomino. Reservations are recommended for Friday and Saturday nights. Gift cards are available on-site or over the phone, and they are redeemable at the restaurant's New Haven and Center Valley, Pennsylvania, locations.
