Fun Things for Kids in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California is where all the fun begins and never ends. There are so many interesting things to do and see that you are spoiled for choice. Zimmer Children's Museum

Zimmer Children's Museum is open Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Friday 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. An interactive children's museum, Zimmer's encourages touch. Children may enjoy splashing about at the water table, trying their hand at cooking in the cafe, listening to a story, singing songs or writing their own music. Exploring the exhibits and asking lots of questions is absolutely recommended.

Travel Town Museum

Travel Town Museum is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tiny tots and children are encouraged to explore every inch of the interactive exhibits for as long as they choose. They may climb on and touch the attractions. Children who are train enthusiasts won't want to go home after seeing what this museum offers to entertain them. Mini train rides are available for a small fee. Antiques are on show including horse-drawn carriages, vintage cars and artifacts from trains.

Los Angeles Zoo

The Los Angeles Zoo is open every day except Christmas Day. There are seven restaurants from which to pick including Mexican cuisine and a bake shop serving coffee. There are lots of animals to see, therefore set aside an entire day to walk around all the exhibits. Two gift shops are located on the zoo grounds. Children's birthdays at the zoo can be catered on an outdoor patio somewhere within the zoo grounds. There are plenty of hotels and motels in the vicinity at which to stay during your visit and a plethora of restaurants and cafes at which to dine.
