Orlando, Florida is home to some of the world's biggest tourist attractions (like Walt Disney World and Universal Studios). It is one of the biggest and most popular vacation spots on the planet. Because of that, there is no shortage of fun things to do while in Orlando. From walking around amusement parks to visiting serene, peaceful gardens, Orlando is a city that has a lot to offer to its visitors.
Universal Studios
If you want to have a slice of Hollywood while in Orlando, this is the place to do so. Tourists can walk around authentic looking film sets and feel adventurous on an assortment of rides as well. Be sure to check out some of the many movie exhibitions at the park, including "Back to the Future," "Beetlejuice," "Terminator 2," and "Twister." Children and adults alike will be able to enjoy a day walking around and exploring Universal Studios.
Orlando Science Center
The Orlando Science Center is an ideal activity spot for science enthusiasts. There are several massive, sunny galleries to explore within the center, including large and detailed human anatomy displays. Be sure to check out the blown-up depiction of the mouth. There are also a lot of other interactive displays within the geology, space and meteorology realms. This is another tourist attraction that is suitable for people of all different age groups.
Magic Kingdom Park
The Magic Kingdom Park is one part of Walt Disney World, and is an area that tourists should definitely not miss. Composed of seven entirely different themed lands, tourists will be able to walk through Frontierland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Main Street USA, Liberty Square, Toontown Fair and Fantasyland here. From jungles and safaris to hanging around with Disney characters like Donald Duck, the Magic Kingdom Park is one of Orlando's premier attractions.
Harry P. Leu Gardens
Harry P. Leu Gardens is a peaceful and serene sanctuary amidst Orlando. If you want to revel in natural beauty, these botanical gardens should do the job. Visitors will be able to walk along paths and witness camphor and oak trees, and soak up the beauty of various different types of flowers, including azaleas, camellias and roses. The Leu House museum is also a part of the gardens. Make sure to check out the Orchid Conservatory and floral clock before you leave.
