There's always an event going on in Detroit, from the North American International Auto Show and the Detroit Boat Show in winter to the Detroit Festival of the Arts, the Windsor-Detroit International Freedom Festival (which boasts the largest choreographed fireworks display in the U.S.) and the Woodward Dream Cruise of antique autos in summer. Also in the warmer weather, Detroit holds a different Ethnic Festival every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with sights and tastes from around the world. Detroit is home to three casinos, each with a luxury hotel and ample parking. You can catch a play at the venerable Fox Theater or the Masonic Temple Theater, or cheer on a game of hockey at Joe Louis Arena, football at Ford Field or baseball at Comerica Park. For a taste of authentic Greek cuisine, try the Olympia Restaurant in the Greektown area; if you're a brave sports fan, stop by the Hockeytown Cafe for a side order of Red Wing memorabilia with your meal.
