Chicago often head to the suburbs to get away from the city's bustling streets. Chicago's massive growth in the 20th century allowed suburbs like Schaumburg, Arlington Heights and Bolingbrook to develop quickly. The main attractions in the Chicago suburbs are shops and restaurants unavailable in downtown Chicago. Every traveler in the suburbs of Chicago should search for fun restaurants with activities and delicious food.
Don Roth's Blackhawk Restaurant
Don Roth's Blackhawk Restaurant opened in downtown Chicago in 1926 before migrating northwest to Wheeling, Illinois. The Blackhawk Restaurant features appetizers like calamari and fresh steamed artichoke to feed hungry diners. The dinner menu includes the roasted "blackhawk" chicken, Boston scrod and rib eye steak. The kid's menu at Blackhawk Restaurant offers children choices of grilled cheese sandwiches, jumbo giant shrimp and barbecued ribs. The Blackhawk Restaurant hosts special events like live music and wine tastings overlooking a two-acre garden.

The Millrose Restaurant & Brewing Co. creates its Prairie Pilsen and Country Inn Ale from an on-site microbrewery.
