There is no shortage of fun for kids in
Las Vegas. The tourism industry there has made a deliberate effort to make Las Vegas a family destination with something for everyone. While parents are off doing adult things like gambling, seeing shows and going to nightclubs, kids can play in venues created just for them. All this fun for kids in Las Vegas is easily accessible. Some of it is free.
Circus Circus
Circus Circus is the original "fun for kids" destination in Las Vegas. The casino-hotel is located on the northern part of the Las Vegas Strip. It offers free circus acts throughout the day in an carnival arcade area made just for kids. It also has the Adventuredome. It is America's largest indoor theme park.
Excalibur
The Excalibur Casino Hotel is the sequel to Circus Circus. It has a King Arthur theme and is built in the shape of a giant castle. Excalibur also has a huge arcade area for kids with free medieval-themed entertainment. There is also a jousting dinner show geared toward children. Excalibur is located on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip.
Stratosphere
The Stratosphere Casino Hotel is located at the far northern end of the Las Vegas Strip. The giant tower is visible from every part of Las Vegas. It features several amusement park rides at the top of the tower, including a roller coaster and a catapult. These rides are not for those afraid of heights.
Gameworks
Kids who like video games will love Gameworks. The Steven Spielberg-created arcade has 55,000 square feet of life-sized interactive games. Many feature virtual reality features that make you feel like you are actually inside the game. It is located on the central part of the Las Vegas Strip.
Animals
Several casino hotels on the Las Vegas Strip have wild animals on exhibit. The most famous is the Mirage with its white tigers, dolphins and enormous tropical fish tank. The MGM Grand has lion cubs. Mandalay Bay has a shark reef.
