San Francisco when you're an adult, it can be harder to plan a vacation for a family with small kids. Keeping the balance and finding kid-friendly activities that are also good for adults is tough. Luckily, there are some attractions that are good for the whole family.
Visit the Exploratorium
The Exploratorium in San Francisco gives you and your kids many ways to learn and explore. Whether it's the Global Climate Change exhibit or the Sport Science room, everyone in your family can interact one-on-one with science. Unlike a children's museum that is limited to young children only, the Exploratorium is designed to appeal to people of all ages. You'll learn a bunch about science subjects including cooking, solar eclipses and frogs, all while having fun.

Explore Fisherman's Wharf
There is so much to do in and around historic Fisherman's Wharf that some people spend the whole day there--or even the weekend. You'll find restaurants right on the wharf, as well as shops and attractions. There are several tours of the wharf, too, for those that want to learn the history. Kids who love being grossed out will want to check out the freaky exhibits at Ripley's Believe it or Not, and having a bite at Boudin Bakery is something the adults will appreciate, too. Early in the morning, you can watch real fishermen bring in their latest catch right on the wharf.

Catch a San Francisco Giants Baseball Game
