Murrells Inlet is a historic village in the Myrtle Beach area, and the Marsh Walk is one of its main tourist attractions. The Marsh Walk is exciting for kids and the entire family, as it offers fascinating views of the saltwater marsh and its diverse birds and wildlife. The best time to go on the Marsh Walk is high tide. You will be able to see many sculptures and fishing boats at this tranquil and serene community located seaside.

The Myrtle Beach Art Museum is educational and fascinating for children and adults alike. This museum focuses on enriching the Myrtle Beach community with the arts. There are four different, diverse collections on display: Bishop Maps and Prints, Waccamaw Arts and Crafts, Southern Art and the official Permanent Collection. Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing runs alongside the Intercoastal Highway and is a beautiful place to experience natural scenery. The whole family can enjoy this dock and boardwalk area, which is full of wildlife, such as exotic fish and migratory waterfowl. There is a tranquil 27-acre lake that is great for sitting back and relaxing while enjoying the soft, mild breeze. This is a great way to indulge in the atmosphere and nature that Myrtle Beach has to offer. Kids will be able to run around and work off all of their energy here.

Vereen Memorial Park and Gardens
Vereen Memorial Park and Gardens is in Little River, which is just outside of North Myrtle Beach. This is a pleasant, serene park full of wooden boardwalks and paths that go across a few tiny islands and salt marshes. There is a vast observation deck that looks out onto the Intracoastal Waterway and picturesque Little River waterfront. From having a picnic to hiking, there are many ways to enjoy this beautiful park.

Official South Carolina Hall of Fame
The Official South Carolina Hall of Fame is inside of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, and it's is a great place to learn about some of South Carolina's most notable individuals, including the seventh American president, Andrew Jackson. Other famous persons are highlighted, including Senator Strom Thurmond and legendary musician Dizzy Gillespie, all natives of this southern state. This is a great place for kids to learn about South Carolina, its people and their biggest accomplishments.
