Newark International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the Northeast, handling 35.4 million passengers in 2008. It is a hub for Continental Airlines and one of the East Coast's busiest international airports. Given the passenger load and proximity to midtown Manhattan, which is just 15 miles away, the property around the airport is attractive to the hotel trade.

Jersey City's Hyatt Regency on the Hudson is some eight miles away. The hotel's 350 rooms have views of the New York Skyline, Hyatt's trademark Grand Bed and large desk spaces. The hotel is located near Exchange Place station and the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) Rapid Transit system, which takes travelers into Manhattan's World Trade Center station.
