Yosemite National Park is a popular destination for many visitors to California. There are several different options to consider when deciding which airport to fly into for your Yosemite vacation. Regardless of the airport you choose, you will have a scenic drive as you approach Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Fresno Yosemite International (FYI)

Fresno Yosemite International is the nearest largest metropolitan airport near to Yosemite National Park (YNP). It is just over an hour's drive from Fresno to the south entrance of YNP via CA-41.

Merced Municipal (MCE)

Merced Municipal is a small airport located about an hour and a half from the Arch Rock entrance to YNP. There is scheduled ground transportation (bus service) provided between the Merced Municipal Airport and Yosemite National Park.

Reno/Tahoe International (RNO)

During the summer months, you can reach YNP by flying into the Reno/Tahoe International Airport and approaching Yosemite from the east (CA-120 via the Tioga Road, which is closed seasonally). The drive from Reno to YNP is about five hours.

San Francisco International (SFO)

Flying into San Francisco International is a popular choice for many visitors to YNP. The drive from San Francisco to YNP is about four hours long (via CA-120).

Oakland International (OAK)

Flying into Oakland International is sometimes a less expensive option than flying into SFO. The drive-time to YNP from Oakland (CA-120) is about the same length as the drive from San Francisco, about four hours.

Sacramento International (SMF)

Another option is to fly into Sacramento International. The drive from Sacramento to YNP is also about four hours (CA-120).
