beach is a
resort city in located on the Atlantic Ocean in southeast Virginia. Virginia Beach isn't only a beach. This coastal location provides activities for both outdoor enthusiasts and those who prefer the arts.
Beach
The beach extends for 35 miles, with 14 miles accessible to the general public. Visitors can enjoy water activities in the summer and whale watching in the cooler months.
Climate
Virginia Beach experiences a mild climate. Average temperatures range from a low of 32 degrees F in January to a high of 87 degrees F in July.
Entertainment
Tourists can visit the Verizon Wireless Virgina Beach Amphitheater to take in a concert or the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts to watch a a show.
Art Show
The annual Boardwalk Art Show and Festival brings over 400 artists to Virginia Beach.
History
In 1607, English settlers stopped at Cape Henry in Virginia Beach before continuing on to found Jamestown.
