Ever since its gates first opened in 1955, Disneyland has delighted visitors of all ages. Each themed section of the park offers guests the opportunity to slip into the past, the future and realms of fantasy. Disneyland is located in
Anaheim, California, and it is open every day of the year.
Main Street
Horse-drawn streetcar on Main Street
Upon first entering Disneyland, visitors are greeted by Main Street. It is designed to resemble early 20th century Americana. There is a train station at its entrance, and the street itself is lined with shops, restaurants and a small movie theatre.
Adventureland
Tarzan's Treehouse
Adventureland is themed after exotic locales, such as Asian and African jungles as well as the islands of the South Pacific. It is home to the Enchanted Tiki Room, the Jungle Cruise, the Indiana Jones Adventure and Tarzan's Treehouse.
New Orleans Square
The Haunted Mansion
New Orleans Square is designed to resemble the French Quarter of New Orleans in the 19th century. Despite not being one of the four main lands, New Orleans Square boasts two of Disneyland's most popular attractions--Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion.
Frontierland
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Frontierland is themed after the Old West era in American history. In Frontierland, visitors can find attractions such as the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Mark Twain Riverboat and a shooting gallery.
Fantasyland
Sleeping Beauty's Castle
Visitors enter Fantasyland through the gates of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Fantasyland resembles a fairy tale village, and its attractions include Peter Pan's Flight, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, It's a Small World and several more. The Matterhorn lies directly on the border of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is designed to convey a feeling of the future, particularly space exploration. It is home to Space Mountain, Star Tours, Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and more.
Smaller Areas
Splash Mountain
Critter County, which gives visitors a sense of America's wilderness, has three attractions--Splash Mountain, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes. Mickey's Toontown is a colorful, cartoonish area.
